Amir Richardson was born in Nice, France. He is the son of former NBA player Michael Ray Richardson and Moroccan mother Ilham Ngadi from Fez, Morocco. Growing up in a sporting family, he chose football and developed through the youth academies of AS Fontonne Antibes, Nice, and Le Havre.
